Privacy Policy for msplPOS

Effective Date: April 23, 2026

At msplPOS, we are committed to protecting the privacy and security of your business and customer data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the msplPOS mobile application (the "App").

1. Information Collection and Use

The App is an enterprise Point of Sale (POS) solution designed for jewelry retail. It collects and processes data necessary for retail operations, including:

  • Business Data: Inventory details, sales transactions, metal rates, and branch performance metrics.
  • Customer Information: Names, contact details, and purchase history as entered by authorized users.
  • Authentication Data: We use Corporate Single Sign-On (SSO) via myMSPL and Frappe to securely authenticate users.
  • Device Information: Model, OS version, and stability logs for performance optimization.

2. Permissions

To provide its full range of features, the App requires the following permissions:

  • Camera: Scanning QR codes and barcodes for inventory lookup.
  • Bluetooth: Connecting to thermal printers for receipt generation.
  • Location: Providing branch-specific metal rates and security auditing.
  • Storage: Local caching for offline resilience.

3. Data Synchronization and Storage

The App uses real-time synchronization services (including Google Firebase/Firestore) to ensure data consistency across your enterprise. All data transmitted is encrypted using industry-standard protocols.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. Information is only shared with essential third-party providers (like Firebase) to the extent necessary to provide the App's functionality. Your data remains your property and is managed under your corporate MSPL account.

5. Security

We implement enterprise-grade security measures to protect your data, including secure token-based authentication and encrypted local and cloud storage.

6. Data Retention

Data is retained as long as your corporate account with MSPL remains active or as required by local financial and retail regulations.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
