At myMSPL, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your employee data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the myMSPL Employee Self Service Portal (the "App").

1. Information Collection and Use

The App is an Employee Self Service (ESS) portal designed for MSPL employees. It processes data necessary for workforce management, including:

  • Personal Information: Name, employee ID, contact details, and profile information provided by your employer.
  • Employment Records: Attendance logs, leave requests, and payslip data.
  • Biometric Data: If enabled, we use device-level biometric authentication (Face ID or Fingerprint) to verify identity for sensitive actions like rate updates. We do not store your actual biometric data; we only receive a success/fail response from your device's secure enclave.
  • Device Information: We collect persistent device identifiers (via SecureStore) to manage your active sessions and ensure account security.
  • Location Data: With your permission, the App collects location data to verify your presence during attendance marking and rate updates.

2. Permissions

To provide its core functionality, the App requests the following permissions:

  • Location: Used to verify your location for attendance and security audits.
  • Biometrics: Used for secure authentication and verifying sensitive transactions.
  • Notifications: Sending important updates regarding leave approvals, payslips, and corporate announcements.
  • Audio (Optional): The App includes permissions for audio recording, which may be used for specific voice-enabled features (if active in your organization).

3. Data Synchronization and Storage

The App synchronizes with corporate servers (Frappe/ERPNext) and uses Google Firebase for real-time notifications and performance monitoring (Crashlytics). All data is transmitted over secure, encrypted channels (HTTPS).

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Information is only shared with:

  • Your Employer (MSPL): To provide HR and payroll services.
  • Essential Third-Parties: Service providers like Firebase for technical stability and communication.

5. Security

We implement enterprise-grade security measures, including token-based authentication (OAuth2), data encryption in transit, and secure local storage for session identifiers.

6. Data Retention

Data is retained as long as your employment with MSPL remains active or as required by corporate policies and local labor regulations.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the App.
